How did you two meet?
In college I interned for a music festival in Missouri & planned a promotional event where Danny's band played. I always told all my friends that one of them should try to date him but I'm glad they never listened. I was dating someone else at the time but we met that night and then after it ended with the other guy, it took a few strong margaritas and I was texting Danny to hang out. Kinda shocking that 4 & a half years later, we are married.
How did he propose?
We went to spend New Year's with Danny's family in Ohio and we went hiking at a spot he used to love as a kid on the morning of December 30th. It was the best way to end 2018.
Where was your wedding?
We got married in Joshua Tree National Park with about 20 friends & family.
Where was your honeymoon?
We drove up the California coast. We love to see different places and take our time exploring so a road trip made the most sense. California State Route 1 is so full of different scenery and neat surf towns from Big Sur to Carmel to Santa Cruz. It was so cool!
Favorite vacay together:
Our honeymoon was a blast but honestly our time in Joshua Tree before & during the wedding was so magical. We had been there before and loved every second of it but this time was extra special.
Advice to Engaged/newlyweds:
Do not stress the small stuff, we had such a small intimate wedding and our family & friends were all hugely helpful but I am 200% for small, planned elopements. Do not skimp on photo & video. We added a videographer last minute and I am SO happy that we had them there. And most of all, do what YOU want to do. This is not about anyone else but you & your fiancé.
